1. Operational Data & Local Sovereignty

Dignyte is designed as an offline-first local application. All operational data—including restaurant orders, billing logs, customer names, contact numbers, table configurations, and GST records—is stored locally on your physical Windows PC.

Critical Security Guarantee: Under no circumstances is billing or operational restaurant data transmitted to our servers or any third-party cloud. All backups created via our pendrive or cloud backup features are fully encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect minimal information necessary to fulfill licenses and process payments:

  • Account Details: When purchasing a license, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and restaurant name to generate license tokens.
  • Device Fingerprints: During license activation, we generate a hardware fingerprint (based on network adapter MACs and a persistent random GUID) to bind the license to your physical machine.
  • Payment Information: Payments are processed securely via our payment gateway partner, Razorpay. We do not store or process card numbers or banking credentials on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly to:

  • Provision, manage, and validate your software license.
  • Enforce device limits associated with your subscription plan.
  • Send critical updates, invoices, and license keys.
  • Respond to support tickets and contact form inquiries.

4. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your account information. Online token transmissions are secured using SSL/TLS encryption. Local databases on your server are encrypted using SQLCipher AES-256.
